The Pastoral Leadership Team is led by the Lead Pastor. This team oversees the day-to-day ministry and operations of the church. They serve the congregation and are responsible for the development of the spiritual life of the church. 

Our Team Leaders can be a mix of staff and volunteer leaders. They are entrusted with the honor of leading teams and completing tasks. They partner in how we do ministry and help move goals forward in ministry development.

The Advisory Board’s primary role is to provide wisdom and advice to the Lead Pastors on all matters deemed relevant to the functioning of River Valley Church. This team supports in vision casting, planning and overall church growth as needed. 

The Oversight Board supports the development and approval of policy, mission effectiveness and representing the interests of the members of River Valley Church. Board Members share a legal responsibility for River Valley Church from a governance perspective. In this light, this Board fulfills the requirements from the Government of the USA, and specifically IRS’s not-for-profit legislative requirements for an independent Board of Directors accountable for River Valley’s actions and financial decisions. From this perspective, the Oversight Board ensures compliance with federal policies and regulations.
